If it’s two weeks before Black Friday, you can count on two things:
- Creators are caffeinated.
- Amazon is pushing a code update at the worst possible time.
This week’s Fluencer Fruit Office Hours was a full breakdown of everything happening on Amazon right now: the glitches, the disappearing data, the stuck videos, the head-scratching notifications, and why so many creators suddenly felt like their accounts were in limbo. Below is your full recap so you can navigate Q4 without losing your placements, your patience, or your holiday spirit.
Reporting Issues & Missing Data
Many creators logged in to Creator Hub to find major data columns missing — views, average watch time, and average percentage viewed all temporarily vanished. This missing data also caused issues inside Fluencer Fruit, since our extension reads directly from that code.
The working theory: Amazon is testing or adjusting its reporting systems before big shopping days. The safest move is to wait for their updates to finish shaking out before making structural changes on our end.
Creators also saw a strange November 11th earnings notification on Associates Central, though the reporting itself appears to be populating normally again.
Placement Drops & Review Sweeps
Some creators lost their on-site placement for anywhere from a few days to nearly a month. Based on community patterns, Amazon seems to be running a broad enforcement sweep, pushing creators back through an internal review process.
This isn’t new. Amazon periodically tightens enforcement around quality, originality, and compliance, and when they do, even compliant creators can be swept up temporarily.
The good news:
Most creators who lost placement are getting it back, then “shaking in” across shopper groups over the following days.
The frustrating news:
There is no official communication. There never is.
Welcome to the jungle.
Videos Stuck in “Pending Moderation”
Creators are reporting large batches of videos stuck in review. Reuploading seems to work for many – about 75% of the time, based on our community testing.
If yours have been sitting for more than 24 hours, a delete + reupload cycle may help shake them loose.
Creator Hub Down? Use Your Storefront Instead
While Creator Hub is missing key data, remember:
You can check all of your placements directly from your Amazon storefront using Fluencer Fruit.
The Storefront View lets you:
- Load all placements
- Download thumbnails + videos
- Export CSVs
- Search your catalog with more flexibility than Creator Hub
This workaround will cover most creators until the Creator Hub values return.
Meet Botnana: Your FTC + Platform Rules Buddy
This week we also quietly launched Botnana, our banana-themed compliance bot that can answer creator questions about FTC guidelines and platform terms of service to a small subset of our power users.
You’ll be able to ask things like:
- “Can a brand pay me for an Amazon Influencer video?”
- “Can I send affiliate links in private messages?”
- “Can I use music in my Amazon video?”
It cites the source policy text and tells you when something isn’t mentioned in the official documents (which is just as important!)
We’re keeping Botnana in testing for a bit, but we’re so excited to launch it for real very soon.
Final Thoughts: This Is Classic Q4 Amazon
Amazon has a long history of big rule enforcements and code changes right before major shopping seasons. The best move right now is to stay calm, stay compliant, and use the available workarounds until the dust settles.
We’re monitoring everything daily and will keep you updated as Amazon’s systems stabilize.
