If you tried to do anything online this week and felt like the internet was held together with duct tape… you’re not alone. Between TikTok weirdness, Amazon reporting chaos, and a little “snow apocalypse” energy floating around, today’s Fluencer Fruit Office Hours was equal parts product update + sanity check.
Watch it here:
Here’s a clean recap you can reference (or share with a friend who’s currently spiral-refreshing their dashboards).
Quick housekeeping: what’s coming up on the calendar
A few important dates to plug in:
- Thursday, February 5, 2026: A special 2-hour Office Hours with Liz + Kathleen Kobel, live on both channels from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM Central.
Expect: product research, creator connections, Amazon ecosystem deep dives, and plenty of niche questions. - Tuesday, February 10, 2026: Claire + Nicole host an Amazon Influencer Strategy Chat on the Fluencer Fruit channel.
- Thursday, March 5, 2026 (tentative): Lane joins Office Hours to talk automations (content creation + redistribution workflows). This one should be especially juicy if you love systems.
Fluencer Fruit updates: what shipped this week
A new version of Fluencer Fruit went live, and two meaningful fixes landed:
1) Cart items no longer clutter the dropdown
Previously, if you had items in your cart, they showed up inside the dropdown—taking up prime “wishlist / browsing” space.
✅ Now: items in your cart do not appear in the dropdown.
2) Filters now include “0” results when your max is set to 1
This one matters a lot for product research.
Previously, if you filtered something like max influencers = 1, it wouldn’t include results where the value was 0 (which is… exactly what many people are trying to find).
✅ Now: setting a max of 1 correctly includes results with 0.
The bigger convo: reporting chaos across platforms (TikTok + Amazon)
If you’re noticing numbers doing backflips this week, it’s not just you.
TikTok issues: “zero views” + reporting weirdness
There’s been chatter about a major TikTok outage (possibly weather-related), plus broader bugs impacting:
- reporting
- view counts (videos showing “0 views” even while people are watching)
Our take: unless you’re heavily reliant on TikTok Shop posts that must track perfectly this week, you can likely keep posting—maybe just prioritize “fun / evergreen / non-shop” content until things stabilize.
Amazon Creator Connections: reporting changes back through November/December
On the Amazon side, multiple creators are seeing:
- earnings changing day-to-day
- Creator Connections data shifting backward into November and December
- off-site reporting that appears/disappears
- missing days that don’t match payouts
A key point we emphasized (and it helped a lot of people breathe):
This looks like a front-end visualization problem
Meaning: the reporting display may be glitchy, but payouts may still be correct.
Creators in the chat noted situations like:
- totals dropping dramatically inside the dashboard
- while payments stayed consistent (suggesting a display/reporting issue rather than true lost earnings)
What’s making this harder: Amazon hasn’t communicated anything publicly (unlike TikTok, which at least acknowledged issues).
A healthier mindset right now: think in quarters, not days
When reporting is unstable, don’t let your brain latch onto day-to-day fluctuations.
Instead, zoom out:
- Look at trends by week
- Compare month over month
- Or even better, think in quarters
It doesn’t fix the tech issue, but it can protect your nervous system from the refresh spiral while platforms sort themselves out.
Why Creator Connections often feels lower in January (even without glitches)
Before the reporting weirdness even began, people were noticing Creator Connections earnings feel lower in January than December.
We offered a helpful hypothesis:
January shopper behavior ≠ January brand behavior
- Amazon shoppers often still spend in January (gift cards, returns, “new year” purchases).
- Brands/sellers, however, may pull back after Q4 (Black Friday → Cyber Monday → holiday push).
So while regular influencer commissions may stay steady, Creator Connections campaigns may naturally ebb in Q1 as brand budgets reset.
This isn’t years-and-years of data yet—more a “this would make sense in the ecosystem” working theory—but it’s a useful lens.
“500,000 campaigns” problem: more access also means more noise
Creator Connections now being more open means:
- still tons of campaigns (well over 500,000)
- but potentially more low-quality offers mixed in
Not fewer campaigns—just more to sift through, with wider variance.
This is where tight filtering matters:
- price thresholds ($50+ / $100+)
- commission ranges (15–20% etc.)
- review count
- influencer saturation
And it’s also why Creator Connection filter improvements inside Fluencer Fruit are such a big deal.
The “duplicate campaigns” debate: opt into one or all?
Creators discussed a common headache: the same ASIN appearing in multiple campaigns, sometimes hundreds.
Brands do this because new campaigns get a visibility bump, and most creator opt-ins happen in the first ~24 hours a campaign is live. Posting repeatedly keeps them near the top.
My personal approach: opt into all the campaigns I can find for the ASIN—because we don’t have perfect visibility, and I’m not willing to assume Amazon will always “handle it” flawlessly.
At minimum, it’s worth knowing there are different schools of thought here:
- Opt into one (best campaign) and trust Amazon’s “you’ll get the highest payout” guidance
- Opt into all to reduce the chance anything falls through the cracks
Fluencer Fruit (and some other tools) may select “best one” automatically—so some creators run their “accepted list” back through later to locate additional matching campaigns.
Quick note: Australia reporting update
Australia reporting downloads may not include ASINs right now. There’s discussion about whether it’s:
- a low-volume display behavior, or
- an intentional reporting structure change rolling out
If you’re seeing missing ASINs in your AU export, you’re not the only one.
