As we head deeper into Q4, the creator landscape is buzzing. From shifts in Amazon placement to new opportunities on YouTube and Creator Connections, there’s a lot to tap into. Here’s what we unpacked together in this week’s Office Hours:
1. Q4 Momentum: Placements, Carousels & Creator Connections
If your earnings or placements feel a little unpredictable, you’re not alone. Many creators are experiencing shifts in upper carousel visibility and a slowdown in brand replies through Creator Connections. Amazon historically tests layouts and features during fall leading into Black Friday—which can explain some of the fluctuation.
The best move right now? Stay consistent with video uploads, keep matching to Creator Connections campaigns, and aim to be present on listings before peak shopping days hit. That’s where the wins happen.
2. YouTube Shorts Is Still the Sleeper Hit
Community members have been repurposing Amazon and lifestyle content onto YouTube Shorts—and the reach is wild. Even small channels are seeing thousands of views. Shorts + YouTube’s Shopping Affiliate tools is a pairing we’re watching closely. If you’re already making short-form content, this is one of the easiest ways to increase visibility.
3. Understanding the Creator Connections Slowdown
A lot of creators shared that brand response rates have dipped. You’re not imagining it. Brands are currently balancing:
- High volume of creator messages,
- Upcoming Q4 campaign budgeting,
- And, something many creators don’t realize, major publishers like BuzzFeed and Good Housekeeping are also using Creator Connections.
Want to stand out? In your pitches, make it easier for brands by including your social profiles and a direct link to your storefront (they can’t access it directly from the dashboard).
4. New Tools & Community Wins
We’re always working on smarter systems to help you get more done in less time. Here’s what’s new or coming up soon:
